About LCLF

What We Do

We organize support and fundraising for athletic programs at Leland Public School in Leland, MI.

The Challenge

Over the past 20 years, essential school expenses have grown faster than state and federal funding. Annual operating budgets are now squeezed razor thin, forcing difficult choices when allocating resources. Furthermore, athletic programs share the same limited pool of funds that support classroom education.

Personal growth from the student-athlete experience is vital for many, and shouldn’t be left to chance.

Our Mission

The Leland Comets Legacy Fund is organized to help sustain the history and tradition of excellence through financial assistance for the athletic programs that may not otherwise be fully funded in the annual school budget.

A successful athletic program incorporates physical fitness, wholesome health practices, along with life skills such as self discipline, cooperation, dedication, honesty, and respect, encouraging our students to contribute to our communities as positive, healthy, well rounded individuals.

The Leland Comets Legacy Fund is possible through the continued generosity of parents, alumni, friends, and the extended Leland community whose exceptional support is a true testament of our pride in the legacy of Leland Public School Athletics.

FAQ

What other funding sources contribute to LPS athletics?
